first Swiss Post!

Well; the first days in Biel! I write this post in English, so I can show off this blog to my Swiss colleagues as well. German and French posts may well be coming soon.
Friday me and my parents drove here with a care half filled with my stuff. Julia (colleague) showed the way to the apartment that will be my home for the next some 6 weeks. It turned out to be really roomy. 50m2 is extra ordinary for someone’s first solo place I think.
Next some supplies had to be bought. To start in this apartment I kind of needed a desk, some kitchen stuff, and chairs. And though I have some healthy aversion against eating at McDonnalds and buying at IKEA, the latter is actually quite inevitable. Where else could you search, choose and buy a shitload of useful and quality items within a few hours for “an apple and an egg”. Either you would spend days browsing 2nd or low-quality things, or spend 3 or 4 fold the money. So here I sit at my reasonable prized desk, in my living room, listening to some Tribe Called Quest and Roy Hargrove. Long not bad for a first night.
Ps. Thanks for the text messages Friday night and Saturday morning. During the first moments in my new environment such gestures really mean a lot to me.
